I believe that therapy should be a judgment-free zone where clients and therapists can work together to explore their inner thoughts, daily struggles, and conflicts. Together, we will collaborate to create a trusting environment where we can make the changes and achieve the goals you wish to make and maintain within your life. We will create a safe space for you to speak about your concerns and hold space for you to tell your story with a compassionate and caring listener. I will aim to create a plan that is tailored to your needs and aspirations and offer the skills to help you navigate through your daily struggles.
I am currently completing my Master’s in Mental Health and Wellness Counseling at New York University. I attained my bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Family and Child Studies at the University of New Mexico. Along with obtaining my bachelor’s degree, I have clinical experience regarding emotional dysregulation, attachment disorders, trauma, and at-risk youth. Some theories and techniques I intend to use within the counseling setting include that of cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychoanalytic theories, as well as person-centered therapy.
