Although it would be simpler for us to exist in the black and white, we live in a world that is nuanced and unexpected. When we feel confused or overwhelmed while facing these complexities, it can be helpful to express and process the emotions we are feeling. I believe it is possible and important to detangle these feelings with grace and curiosity. Each identity and experience you hold adds a unique lens to how you view the world. It can be easy to feel pigeonholed, either by yourself, others, or your culture, into one assumption or category, but in reality, you are extremely dynamic. There is strength in identifying the values you operate from and asking yourself why you believe what you believe. It is my desire to create a safe therapeutic space where the values, identities, beliefs, and experiences you hold can be talked about in a safe and open way. Through the collaborative process of therapy, topics that might feel off the table in polite conversation, I invite and encourage. I will tailor my approach to your unique story that honors and acknowledges all that you go through. This work is for the brave and I desire to meet you where you are and grow from there. I am currently a master's student at New York University studying Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness. I received my bachelor's degree in Psychology from Texas Christian University.
