Deana believes the therapeutic process begins with a collaborative relationship in a safe and non-judgmental environment. Therefore, she strives to create a therapeutic experience that is warm, empathic, and supportive. Her goal is to facilitate insight and growth as well as to encourage each client’s personal strengths. Together, you and Deana will work towards reducing negative symptoms, thoughts, feelings or behaviors that you may be experiencing and achieve positive change over the course of treatment.
Deana encourages clients to openly and honestly discuss any emotions and challenges that they are facing. She passionately supports and encourages each client to be their authentic selves and live their lives to their fullest potentials. Deana places a strong emphasis on the importance of meeting the client where they are at in the process. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in person-centered therapy although she intricately tailors treatment to meet the unique needs of each client.
Deana obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology from Marist College where she also minored in Criminal Justice.
