CONFIDENTIAL AND AFFORDABLE… CALL US FOR AN APPOINTMENT. WE ARE HERE FOR YOU

Aara Mehta

My goal is to create a non-judgmental, safe space in which you are able to be your authentic self. Together, I want to be able to build a collaborative relationship in which we can explore your story- how your culture, your history, and your relationships shape how you see and operate in the world.

I strongly believe that each of us has both the capacity and resources to change. My goal in my role as a counselor is to empower, motivate, and support you in initiating change that feels right for you by both gently challenging any patterns of negative thinking and encouraging you to replace negative thoughts with ones that are more appropriately neutral or positive.

I am a graduate student in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness at New York University’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. I earned a B.A. in Cognitive Neuroscience from Washington University in St. Louis.

I grew up in India, and am fluent in Hindi.
