My work is grounded in narrative therapy, an approach that separates the problem from the person and recognizes that each individual holds a wealth of skills, values, beliefs, and competencies that can be drawn upon to reduce the influence of challenges in their lives. At the heart of this approach is a core belief: you are the expert on your own life.I work primarily with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use, and have experience supporting a diverse range of populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals, people with special needs, and those facing complex life circumstances. My clinical interests are informed by more than a decade of direct human services work- as a caseworker coordinating individualized service plans for individuals with medical and mental health challenges, and as a direct support professional at Ohel Child and Family services. This background has shaped my deep commitment to meeting clients where they are, with curiosity and without judgement.
I am a graduate student in the Master’s in Counseling program at Capella University. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with a minor in health and nutrition from Brooklyn College, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Contemporary Theory in Mental Health Services from Capella University.
