Therapy with me will be a space where you will feel supported and heard. I put a lot of emphasis on having a collaborative and genuine therapeutic alliance– I see our relationship as a partnership, two individuals working side by side.My foundation is humanistic and client-led, but I also value structure and progress. I use CBT-informed strategies, goal setting, and practical skills to help you make changes you can actually feel in your day-to-day life. At the same time, we’ll slow down to look at the deeper “why”—the patterns, relationships, and past experiences that shaped how you got here.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than a decade as a personal trainer, helping people change behaviors and rebuild trust with their bodies. Behavior change is my bread and butter. I’m especially at home working with anxiety, depression, low self-worth, body image struggles, or that stuck feeling of “I don’t like where my life is going.”What you can expect from me: zero judgment, honesty, encouragement, and someone who genuinely believes you’re capable of more than you think. Some days we’ll set goals and take steps forward, other days we might just sit with what’s heavy.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Psychology, with highest honors, from Hope College and am currently completing my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Baruch College.
