With my experience in different positions within the therapeutic space, my identity as a therapist has evolved over time. As a former Intake Coordinator at The New Hope Mental Health Counseling, I have found that therapy embodies a strong relationship between client and therapist. Therefore, I take pleasure in working collaboratively with my clients to better understand the patterns and core beliefs that may be causing distress, while also developing practical tools that support growth and lasting change.

With a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, I’ve accumulated an integrative approach that includes psychodynamic theories, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) techniques. These modalities are used primarily to facilitate progress for individuals experiencing anxiety, trauma, relationship concerns, emotional distress, and somatic symptoms related to stress or unresolved emotional pain.

Starting therapy can feel intimidating and maybe even overwhelming. As someone who can resonate with feeling overwhelmed and afraid in new spaces, I want to make it known that these emotions are welcomed. Vulnerability is one of the hardest parts of the process, and my role is to help you manage that discomfort and develop healthier ways of coping.

Together, I believe that you and I can work toward improving self-understanding to inspire meaningful change that promotes quality of life.
