I believe therapy is one of the few places in life that is solely for you: a space where you do not have to take care of anyone else, have all the answers, or pretend that everything is okay. My goal is to create an environment where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are so that we can explore whatever you may be carrying together.Emotional pain is not always experienced as just thoughts. Many individuals feel it throughout their entire body, through tension, panic, hypervigilance, or a constant feeling that something is wrong. These experiences can be exhausting and isolating, especially when it feels like those around you do not fully understand what you are going through.
I am naturally drawn to understanding people: their emotions, relationships, experiences, and the stories that have shaped them. Through my clinical work and personal experiences, I have seen how family dynamics, major life events, and important relationships can influence the way we view ourselves, connect with others, and move through the world. When challenges such as anxiety, relationship difficulties, family conflict, loneliness, or major life transitions arise, they can leave people feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward. My therapeutic style is primarily psychodynamic and relational. I believe many of our present-day emotions, patterns, and relationships make sense when viewed within the context of our earlier experiences and important connections. Together, we can explore these patterns, develop deeper insight, and work toward changes that feel more grounded, honest, and sustainable.
I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Wellness at New York University. My background also includes community-based mental health work with individuals diagnosed with severe mental health disorders, including schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and bipolar disorder. Prior to NYU, I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology, with a minor in Criminal Justice, from Adelphi University.
