The experiences we have in our early development, especially those that overwhelm our ability to cope, can shape the stories we tell ourselves about who we are and what we deserve. These stories, often formed in moments of fear, confusion, or pain, can follow us into adolescence and throughout adulthood, manifesting as anxiety, shame, or a persistent sense of being stuck. I believe that healing begins when we gently examine these narratives, understand their origins, and begin to write new ones rooted in self-compassion and authenticity. This aligns fully with my personal mantra, developed through my own healing journey: “turning pain into purpose.”
I work predominantly with children, adolescents, and young adults. I am currently completing my remaining hours toward becoming a registered play therapist, providing interactive, HIPAA-compliant virtual play therapy that engages young clients in creative ways to process difficult emotions. My clinical focus includes complex trauma and its lasting impacts, with a strong emphasis on early intervention for navigating childhood trauma and creating or repairing injured or insecure attachments. I also have in-depth clinical experience treating obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) utilizing exposure and response prevention (ERP) alongside DBT. I am particularly interested in the comorbidity of diagnoses, such as navigating the complex intersections of OCD, ADHD, trauma, and anxiety, ensuring that our work addresses the whole person rather than just isolated symptoms.
I earned my Master's in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University, graduating summa cum laude, and I currently practice fully remote as a Multi-State Associate Therapist and Limited Permit Mental Health Counselor, holding pre-licensure in New York, Utah, Washington, and Idaho. To provide the highest level of tailored care, I hold a Trauma Specialist Certification and have completed advanced training in EMDR and neuropsychotherapy. Influenced heavily by a wide combination of clinical training and personal insights, I thoughtfully tailor my therapeutic approach so that clients benefit from unique, individualized treatment plans and interventions that truly support their journey toward lasting healing.
