I approach therapy from a person-centered perspective, prioritizing a trusting and supportive relationship as the foundation for our work. As your therapist, I will work with you to identify patterns in your life and relationships with the aim to explore how early experiences and attachment styles may have shaped them.
Together, we will connect these patterns to your present life and rewrite unhelpful narratives, helping you move forward in a way that feels healthier and more fulfilling. My bachelor’s degree in film and television from Boston University will play a role in my use of narrative therapy and how the stories we hold about ourselves shape our experiences. I will integrate cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy strategies to help you better understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I will also take a holistic approach, recognizing how mental health concerns such as anxiety can show up in the body, and I will incorporate mindfulness-based techniques to support greater balance between mind and body.I am drawn to working with adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I am especially passionate about supporting individuals who feel pressure to meet high expectations yet may be struggling internally with stress, self-doubt, or burnout. I also have an interest in working with athletes, supporting them in managing performance pressure, competition, and identity within sport. As a former Division I tennis player at Boston University, I will bring an understanding of both the discipline required to perform at a high level and the anxiety that often accompanies it.
Currently, I am pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at St. Bonaventure University. My goal is to help you develop insight, shift unhelpful patterns, and move forward in a way that helps you feel more present and able to enjoy your life more fully.
