I believe every person's experiences are shaped by their relationships, family, and culture, and therapy offers an opportunity to better understand those experiences together.
As a Taiwanese American, I appreciate how culture and life experiences influence the way we perceive ourselves, connect with others, and seek help. My work is informed by client-centered, psychodynamic, and relational approaches. I strive to support you by remaining flexible with your individual needs, goals, and pace while working collaboratively to foster greater self-understanding and meaningful change. I provide therapy in both English and Mandarin and value creating a space where clients can be heard and express themselves authentically.
I enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, and adults from diverse backgrounds, with a particular interest in supporting first-generation individuals, immigrant families, and LGBTQ+ clients. My clinical interests include depression, anxiety, life transitions, identity development, and family relationships. I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology at Stony Brook University and am currently pursuing a master's degree in Mental Health Counseling at Teachers College, Columbia University. I have experience working with children and adolescents with Autism as well as first-generation students and families navigating life transitions. I hope to build a collaborative therapeutic relationship where we can explore your experiences with curiosity, openness, and respect.
