Bilingual Therapist | English & Spanish | Psychodynamic & Humanistic Approach
I’m Elene, an Advanced Clinical Resident at The Soho Center, currently completing my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Brooklyn College. I bring a bilingual and multicultural perspective to therapy, offering sessions in both English and Spanish. My academic foundation includes a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Deusto in Spain and Radboud University in the Netherlands, which informs my global, inclusive lens on mental health.
I work with adults and children navigating a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, attachment wounds, and relationship difficulties. My approach is rooted in psychodynamic and humanistic principles—grounded in the belief that symptoms are not just issues to be “fixed,” but meaningful expressions of the deeper emotional landscape.
Above all, I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship. As Irvin Yalom wrote, “It’s the relationship that heals.” I strive to create a warm, respectful, and authentic space where you feel safe to explore your inner world and begin the process of healing and growth.
Whether you are looking for clarity, relief, or deeper self-understanding, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
