I am an advanced clinical resident in mental health counseling at The Soho Center. My approach is collaborative and integrative, drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, and multicultural frameworks. I work to help clients understand their emotional and behavioral patterns, build resilience, and create meaningful change.
I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, low self-esteem, family conflict, postpartum adjustment, and identity development. I also support clients in managing trauma
symptoms, obsessive thinking, and relationship concerns. As a mom myself, I am particularly attuned to the challenges of parenthood and the transitions it brings. My background as a behavioral specialist in a middle school has also deepened my ability to connect with young people and their families.
I identify as Afro-Trinidadian and Mexican-Puerto Rican, and I value the ways culture and lived experience shape mental health. My goal is to create a space where clients feel understood in the context of their whole selves—their strengths, struggles, and stories. I hold a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from the New York Institute of Technology, with training in trauma-informed and multicultural care.
