Meghan Umansky

Pursuing therapy is a courageous act because it is a process where you can grow and evolve. I like to think of therapy as a collaborative healing experience where we can work together to help improve the aspects of your life that are troublesome. I'll help you discover your untapped strengths and potential in the process. My hope is that you can feel empowered, increase your confidence, and develop a better understanding of yourself. The ultimate goal of working with me is not to be stuck in therapy, but to be able to live your life more fully!.

I choose to use an integrative approach, including psychotherapy and hypnosis, due to different personality types, socio-cultural factors, and the individual needs and goals of each client. My uniqueness is found in my patience, compassion, and well-developed ability to bridge the mind and body in a powerful and healing way.

I use the Biopsychosocial model, which asserts that any issues we face are affected by biological, psychological, and socio-cultural factors in order to understand the WHOLE person and achieve deeper healing. My biggest aspiration is for clients to feel accepted and supported in therapy as well as challenged to forge their best self!
