Dominika Bredova, MHC-LP
My approach centers on uncovering the patterns and experiences that keep you feeling stuck, with a particular focus on how the past continues to shape the present. I work with adults and couples who want to deepen their self-understanding and create lives that feel genuine and self-directed, rather than guided by outside expectations. While our work together can be challenging at times, it also opens the door to clarity, growth, and lasting change.

My practice is rooted in person-centered, psychodynamic, and narrative therapy. I aim to be direct and thoughtful, creating a space where you can confront difficult truths while feeling supported. In partners therapy, I help partners strengthen communication, re-balance responsibilities, rebuild trust, and reconnect with intimacy.

I hold a MA in Mental Health Counseling from New York University and a BS in Psychology from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. Having moved countries multiple times, I can deeply relate to the stressors and challenges associated with settling in a new place and leaving friends, family, and pets behind. These experiences also taught me that while people come from different backgrounds, we can still bond over similarities or by exploring our differences.

In addition to English, I can also hold sessions in Czech and Slovak.
