Rebecca is currently earning her Master’s in Mental Health and Wellness Counseling with a dual degree in LGBTQ Studies at NYU. She operates from a holistic approach and focuses on creating a custom experience to each individual client. Rebecca believes that building a strong, mutually beneficial, therapeutic relationship is one of the most important aspects of therapy. Working together and growing collaboratively is how she chooses to engage in sessions. She uses her skills in empathy, cultural competency, and listening to understand the client and work with them to create a more healthy, balanced life.
She utilizes an integrative approach consisting of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and psychodynamic techniques. She guides her sessions with a person-centered structure and considers everyone an author to their story.
Rebecca received her Bachelor’s in Psychology at Florida State University and has worked at numerous organizations that specialize in crisis management, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, trauma, and family dynamics. As an Advanced Clinical Intern, she is determined to provide supportive, appropriate care for every client. Rebecca is passionate about de-stigmatizing mental health and welcomes people from all walks of life. She prides herself in creating a liberated space for all of her clients.
