Rachel received her Bachelor’s Degree from SUNY Cortland with a focus on Communications, and then her Ms.Ed from CUNY Hunter in Mental Health Counseling. From here, Rachel’s focus has largely been on addiction and co-occurring disorders. She was an intern at Samaritan Village, an inpatient drug rehabilitation center, where she provided her clients with individual and group counseling.
Her main focus for clients is to help enhance their autonomy, and to look within to find their innermost self. Rachel uses various interventions such as mindfulness techniques, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. She has experience working with Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Depression, Bi-polar I and II, BPD, Schizophrenia and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Rachel applies and tailors each session with different modalities to match her client’s needs.
