Lauren is a compassionate and thoughtful clinician, who is dedicated to providing individualized and evidence-based psychotherapy. Lauren utilizes an integrative and collaborative therapeutic approach when working with individuals and couples, establishing a course of treatment that is tailored to meet specific client needs and goals. Lauren believes that therapy is an interpersonal and educational experience; one that facilitates emotional, behavioral, and relational understanding, encourages personal responsibility, and guides the process of growth and desired change.
Lauren has studied psychology for over 9 years, receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Bucknell University, and her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from New York University. She continues to pursue clinical training in psychodynamic, emotionally focused, and cognitive behavioral (specifically REBT) therapeutic approaches. Lauren has successfully employed these methods, treating a wide-range of client concerns, including anxiety, depression, disordered eating & body image, family & relationship difficulties, substance use, perfectionism, self-worth & identity concerns, as well as career & life transitions.
Lauren believes that every individual has the ability to modify dysfunctional tendencies and adopt healthier and more flexible ways of being. Lauren is deeply committed to helping her clients find relief from emotional stress, develop effective coping strategies and lead more authentically fulfilling and joyful lives.
