I believe that the clinical space is where the client should feel liberated to share their story and share what is most important to them. My approach is warm, inviting, and empathetic, while also making sure we tackle tough and emotional topics with honesty and openness.
I received my B. S. degree in Applied Psychology in 2017 and am currently completing a Master's Degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness. I'm also working on an Advanced Certificate for LGBT Health, Education, and Social Services. I primarily work from a psychodynamic approach, wanting to fully understand you and how your history and the people around you have led you to this point in time. But, I know that not one size fits all and I want to utilize approaches that best fit you, with the foundation of understanding who you are as a human being.
My goal is to make sure you get relief from your symptoms - both short term and long term- and that you can leave the therapeutic space feeling hopeful about what's next. I want to make sure you understand that your stories and words are heard, that you feel validated, and that you feel safe and liberated when sitting with me.
