I believe in a conversational and collaborative style of therapy. My approach is to create a comfortable environment while empowering you to feel your best. I tailor therapy to help you identify experiences that shape your feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. Together, we will use that knowledge to guide you toward self-acceptance, healthier relationships, and overall wellbeing. I take an integrative approach with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Relational Cultural Therapy (RCT).
I am completing my Master’s in Applied Psychology for Mental Health Counseling and Wellness at New York University. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Denison University. As a former college athlete, I believe that your mental health is critical to your physical, professional, and relational performance in life. Prior to entering the mental health field, I was a professional in the software sales/recruiting industry and advised individuals on structuring their organizations and fulfilling their career goals. I made the transition into mental health because of a greater interest in understanding my clients’ motivations, concerns, identities, and personal goals. With this experience, I am familiar with what it takes to balance the demands of fast-paced work environments and personal mental health and wellbeing. I therefore work to understand my clients’ unique experiences, backgrounds, personalities, and goals to help them improve their lives.
