Sherry SweeneyTherapy is more than receiving advice, it is about having your voice be heard. Sherry has strived within her career to let those who receive therapy have a voice and be heard. Sherry finds that a collaborative experience with her clients promotes an intimate relationship where clients can be comfortable sharing the space. Sherry is committed to keeping a judgement free, safe zone where anyone can openly express themselves. Her extensive training and eagerness for the work she is doing provides the response and outcome you are looking for. “In order to nurture a relationship with a therapist, you first have to give it a chance.”

Sherry received her bachelor’s degree in psychology where she gained her love for the field. She worked with the youth of her church discussing stigma with mental health and religion. She spoke at an event of sexual assault during her time in college. She is currently in her last year at Baruch College where she is receiving a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. She is currently working to outreach, not only to the African American community but also all those who strive for a better version of themselves. Sherry is open to working with anyone that wants to work with her. She is also willing to learn about new cultures, lifestyles, and religions.
