Do you feel stuck or stagnant at work or in your relationships? Are your thoughts paralyzed by constant worry, hopelessness, uncertainty or overwhelm? Maybe the burden has grown too strong, limiting your ability to participate fully in your life and reach certain goals. Therapy is a brave and powerful first step towards exploring what might be contributing to these feelings. I help address these experiences by utilizing a goal-oriented and solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral approach (CBT). I work with clients to identify and modify negative thoughts and behavioral patterns to provide both short-term symptom relief, followed by long-term, lasting change.
I feel strongly that the therapeutic relationship should be a collaborative one. The client is the expert. I work together with you to determine the best course of action and provide tools for individualized exploration and growth. I am committed to exploring all avenues that support your progress. My approach is flexible, individualized, and open-minded. My style is non-judgmental, easy-going and empathic, yet honest and direct.
As a complement to our work, I also have direct experience in career counseling, the job application process and resume writing. Career shifts and finding placement can be a particularly challenging and isolating time. It can be very difficult to maintain hope and perseverance through periods of evaluation and rejection. Therapy can provide allied structure, addressing fears and low self-esteem that may impact the career pursuit, while supplying collaborative, actionable-steps towards fulfilling work.
If my approach resonates with you, I would love to explore how I can support you. I look forward to meeting you soon!
