Emily Aranda, MHC-LP

I take a collaborative, supportive approach while suspending judgment in order to foster a truly therapeutic space with each client. I put great effort into creating a relationship with each client that allows for a comfortable, honest, healing space so that we may explore the client’s inner thoughts, concerns, and stressors of their daily lives. My intentions as a clinician include ensuring quality care while taking a deeper look into the experiences, perceptions, and conditions that have culminated into the presenting problems you are seeking therapy to treat. These include but are not limited to trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, mood instability, eating, relationships, compulsion, and obsession.

As a clinician, I intend to work with each client to foster greater self-esteem and agency as they face their hopes and dreams head-on. My style is a culmination of therapeutic orientations including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Feminist Therapy, all through an intersectional and culturally informed lens, with the goal of providing a holistic healing space that connects the mind, body, and spirit. I have worked with clients of all backgrounds and specialize in working with the LGBTQIA+ and Latino/e/x communities.

I take the respect of all cultures and identities in the room very seriously, as I strongly believe that we need to hold the space for every aspect of who we are in order to be truly authentic, seen, and healed. I look forward to working together!
