Jill received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Juris Doctor and a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from New York University and is a Certified Trauma Professional.
Jill believes that therapy is a process that involves the client and therapist working together as a team to understand how the past informs the present and how the experience of the present and the future can be enhanced.
Jill uses an eclectic, trauma-informed approach to support clients in achieving insight into the patterns of thought, feeling and behavior that inhibit their personal growth and positive engagement in life and relationships. She uses a number of interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy and solutions focused therapy to create an individualized plan for each client, tailored to their particular needs.
Jill welcomes the opportunity to work with individuals of all ages on a variety of issues, including trauma, social anxiety, substance use, general anxiety, depression, mood regulation, perfectionism and compulsive thoughts and behaviors. She also works with couples on improving their relationships, including couples who are interested in processing the emotional challenges of separation and divorce.
